Your Opinion wanted on Canon G9

I haven't posted anything in a long time here due to the fact I broke my camera...long story for maybe another time. I am looking at a Canon G9 right now and want your feed back about the camera.

I have the opportunity to upgrade from my Canon SD850 IS to a Canon G9. The G9 is used but will have a 6 month warranty (covering everything & labor), at least a 4GB (SDHC Class 6) memory card and have the Color and Focus set to 100% (makeing sure it is above the factory "97%").

I wanted your opinion, is this a good deal for $329 (US dollars)? I hear that the G9 is a great camera with out stepping into a SLR.

I am here to get inspired again, I haven't done any art work in a really long time.

I have wanted to get into falconry but have put it off for sometime now. That is why you'll notice I have a lot of favourites with birds of prey in them. I am wanted to design up a tattoo with one that will be part of a bigger piece containing stuff that represents me and my family. I might have to commission some of it out to the skilled artists here on deviantART.
